Can we update the title of this thread and can you change your user name.

Looks like ScottishEnterprise are still going ahead with this design.

Comprehensive marketing exercise will be
undertaken by agents acting on behalf of
Scottish Enterprise in summer 2009 with respect
to an outstanding mixed use redevelopment
opportunity within the IFSD and immediately
fronting the River Clyde.

That particular scheme is dead, Kenmore could not afford to build it. Scottish Enterprise are simply re-marketing the site to rival developers, the main contenders for which they turned down in the original short-list.

By what do you wish to be known?

Developers queue for site in Glasgow

In Glasgow, Scottish Enterprise is reviewing its options on two sites, at 236 and 220 Broomielaw, in the city’s International Financial Services District, along the River Clyde.

Scottish Enterprise director Derek Ballantyne said: “We have had several approaches from parties on the occupational side and the developer and investor side, both for office schemes and for hotel or mixed-use schemes.

“We are just reviewing our options and looking at a potential masterplan.”

Colliers CRE is advising Scottish Enterprise.

Scottish Enterprise marketed 236 Broomielaw in the past and is keen for a five-star hotel scheme. It is thought an increased interest in development has prompted the agency to reconsider a sale, particularly since it bought the nearby 2 acre 220 Broomielaw site, from Gladedale Capital last April.

Allied London and Argent are thought to have viewed the site. DTZ is advising Argent; Ryden is advising Allied London.

Scottish Enterprise wants to open up the River Clyde waterfront with mixed-use schemes with leisure, hotel space and offices on the sites.
